This workshop will focus on issues concerning news coverage of court cases such as the reporter’s shield law, ethical limits of what judges and lawyers can say, plus a reporter’s guide to the courts and relevant statutes. It will include a lively interactive session about judges’ views of news reporters and news reporters’ views of the courts. *THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR JOURNALISTS & JUDGES (unless CLE Credit is needed).*
The seminar offers 7.5 hours total of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credit—1.5 Dual & 6.0 General. For attorneys seeking credit hours, there is a charge of $45. For attorneys who would like to attend but do not need credit hours, the fee is $30. For judges seeking credit hours, there is a charge of $15. Lunch is included.
