Welcome to The College of Communication and Fine Arts. Bringing together the fine and performing arts (Art, Music, Theatre, and Dance) with the communication disciplines (Communication, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, and Film/Video), CCFA represents the increasing interdependence of these fields in the 21st century.
The community of CCFA faculty includes many who are recognized leaders in their fields. Some are creators who exhibit, perform, and fashion their statements in painting, photography, sculpture, film, music, theatre and dance. Others are theorists and historians of the arts who bring the past to life in classrooms, publications, museums, compact discs, and concert halls. In the area of communication, journalism, rhetoric, and media studies, our faculty members publish books and articles, edit national journals, and present papers at professional conferences.
A unique blend of academic and artistic pursuits within the College encourages the interchange of ideas and collaborative endeavors that create a rich, diverse, and exciting learning environment. The University's Fed Ex Technology Institute - scheduled to open in 2003 - will offer possibilities for innovative arts technology projects. In studios, classrooms, media labs, galleries, theatres, and recital halls, the College is alive with activity. So browse our web site to find out more about us, and come to visit us in person.
